Salary: Grade J £28,047–£35,229
Hours: 37 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our ambitious Building Control team for a Senior Development Officer (Building Control Surveyor).
The team is accredited in accordance with the LABC ISO Quality Management system and operates in a competitive market. The successful candidate will join a team whose aim is to provide a high quality tailored service to the businesses and communities of Cornwall. You will be working with the Plan Check team and Site Surveying team and assist with promoting the service to our customers.
We are looking for a keen, customer focused candidate with proven experience of working in a Building Control environment. You will have a Demonstrable wide ranging knowledge and understanding of the legislation and technical documents underpinning the Building Regulations, be proficient in effectively managing and prioritising workloads in pressurised situations, and have excellent customer and negotiation skills.
You will be able to contribute effectively to the productivity of the service and process work independently in a prompt and professional manner.
You will be qualified with a relevant degree and be a Member of relevant Professional body – i.e. RICS or CABE, although applications from persons eligible to become a Member are also welcome.
A full driving license is essential.
