Senior Building Control Surveyor

Salary: Dependent on experience, Salary: £40,590 – £43,696 per annum (rising to £44,510 per annum after 5 years continuous service) This salary is inclusive of £857 Inner Fringe per annum and includes a Market Supplement of £7,500

The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate a proven recent track record and have an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of Building Control and allied legislation. The post holder will be responsible for providing building control services across a geographical area within the district and as a member of a team within Epping Forest District Council. You must be committed to a high level of customer service. In addition, you will be required to develop and maintain a strong portfolio of partnerships within the LABC approved scheme.

The main responsibilities of the post will be plan vetting, site inspections of building work, enforcement, dangerous structures and demolitions. Good IT skills, accurate record keeping and effective communication skills are essential requirements. A full, clean driving licence and use of a car is also essential for business purposes.

To apply for this post you must have attained a relevant degree/professional qualification and appropriate experience with any specialism training in the discipline being an advantage. Membership of the RICS, CABE or equivalent is desirable. The starting salary will be determined by qualifications and experience.

Mid Sussex District Council

Senior/Building Control Officer (EBUC010)

Salary: Package up to £46,000 p.a. (Includes market supplement of £4,000 p.a.)

Senior Building Control Surveyor

Salary: Scale 7 £25,229-£39,002

Our Building Control Partnership is going from strength to strength and we are now looking to recruit a permanent Senior Building Control Surveyors to join our exciting new Partnership team working with Harborough DC.

Alongside the usual knowledge of Building Regulations we would expect you to uphold our high levels of customer service with a proactive approach to securing future business. Applicants must have a positive team working attitude and be customer focused and business orientated.

About you
