Senior Building Control Officer (2 posts)

Building Control Surveyor

Salary: £31,601 to £34,538

The Partnership provides services across areas of outstanding natural beauty such as Exmoor, the Quantock Hills, the Mendips and the Somerset Levels and coastline; along with the historic towns of Bridgwater, Burnham, Glastonbury, Frome, Minehead, Taunton, Wellington and the City of Wells. We are seeking to recruit two dynamic Building Control Surveyors to cover the Mendip and Taunton Deane areas, but with the ability to work flexibly across boundaries. Consultant Surveyor - Building Control

£25,951 - £30,153 per annum (Grade 6)

Lincs Building Consultancy delivers the Building Control services for East Lindsey District Council and is an established ISO 9001 accredited and customer focussed building control provider. An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, forward thinking and experienced Consultant Surveyor to join the Building Control Team. 

An effective communicator with good interpersonal skills, you will have recent experience of working in Building Control with a specialist working knowledge in all disciplines. You will have an understanding of local government and the wider context Building Control as well as a sound, up to date knowledge of principles of law and administration relating to Building Control. Ideally, you will be a corporate member of RICS, CABE or CIOB, however applicants with a construction-related HNC or degree, a Building Control background or relevant experience may be considered. You would be utilising your expertise in many ways across our large, diverse and interesting district which encompasses growing market towns, vibrant coastal resorts and the Lincolnshire Wolds area of outstanding natural beauty.

As a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Surveyor you will be responsible for your own area, confident in dealing with all aspects of the Building Control service and help us maintain our high standards of performance and quality. The ability to work as part of a team is key as is a self-motivated and organised approach and being an effective communicator. A commitment to continuous improvement and quality is essential together with experience of computerised records systems and a capacity for innovation being an advantage. Building Control Surveyor

Salary Grade 9, Level 1-4 (£28,785 to £33,446 per annum)

The Building Control team within City of York Council are looking to appoint a suitably qualified/experienced Building Control Surveyor.
