The staff, Board and members of LABC are saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Lord Andrew Stunell.

He was a tireless advocate for social justice, and those who strive to make the built environment safer.

Andrew’s dedication to public service and his efforts to improve the lives of the less fortunate have been an inspiration to many as he worked with others to pave the way for systemic changes that will benefit future generations.

In more recent times he helped shape the Building Safety Act.

He was a champion of transforming and eradicating empty homes, building sustainable housing, retrofitting and upgrading housing stock and facilitating new housing delivery. His passion and dedication transcended party politics. He will be missed by all who knew and worked with him and of course our thoughts are with his friends and family.
