The entry requirements for the 2024 LABC Building Excellence Awards are:

  • Building control work will have been carried out by a local authority building control team (not by an approved inspector).
  • Projects will have been completed between 1 January and 31 December 2023.
  • Entries must be submitted via the online form which can be accessed at https://labc.awardsplatform.com/

The deadline for all entries is Friday 17 May 2024.

 No - there’s no fee for entering the awards.

 

Not necessarily.

Builders, architects, designers and anyone else involved in a construction project can submit an entry.

If you’re entering your own project, your own company or yourself, an email will be sent to the Head of your local authority building control department, who can endorse your entry.

You will need to complete the online form. Click on the link below to access the entry form, register an account and you’re ready to start.

For the project categories - if you’re not sure which local authority and LABC region your project is in, enter the postcode of the project here: Find council by postcode search

For the people categories, Best Partnership with a Local Authority and LABC Newcomer of the Year categories, use the local authority you have a relationship with.

Projects and individuals can only be entered into one category.

If you want someone else to add information you can provide them with your login details, and they can then contribute to the form.

When they have done this, make sure you reset your password to ensure security.
 

Yes. Make sure you save your entry form and then go to https://labc.awardsplatform.com/ and log back into your account when you’re ready to work on it again.

If you need to make changes to your entry after submitting it, please contact us at awardsenquiries@labc.co.uk.

 

Go to https://labc.awardsplatform.com/ and login to your account. Scroll down to ‘My entries’ and a list of your entries will appear. Click on the entry you want to amend and it will allow you to make changes or continue with your entry...

You shouldn’t experience any problems uploading your photos but please make sure that you select an attachment type when prompted as it will not let you submit photos without this information.
