LABC becomes latest BRE training partner

Blog Post

LABC has become the latest training partner for BRE in its new BRE Academy venture, which provides world class training and education programmes developed in conjunction with the built environment’s best knowledge providers.

These include universities, colleges and professional bodies that deliver educational programmes based on multi-disciplinary expertise, research and knowledge. LABC is delighted to have teamed up with BRE and will be delivering Building Regulations update sessions alongside its own programme of events.

LABC director of training Anna Thompson said: “LABC has worked with BRE for many years and so is very happy to join forces in this way. Collaborative working is the best way forward if we are to gear up for the upturn in the building industry and the challenges we all face. We are looking forward to working with the BRE Academy on this and many other projects.”

Since its launch in 2008, LABC’s training programme has grown to work with partners such as RIBA, CABE, CIOB and The Good Homes Alliance to share its knowledge of building control and construction with the industry. Three years later the service became a finalist in the Constructing Excellence National Awards following its win in the South West in the Leadership and People Development category.

LABC strives to make affordable, practical training available to members across England and Wales to minimise cost and disruption to delegates and to make training more accessible. It also runs training courses for those within the construction industry, such as builders and architects, to keep them updated on technical and regulatory changes.
