Fire risk assessments
Our FRACS-accredited fire risk assessment service has been established to offer better public protection by providing a qualified, competent and publically accountable service that will assist in driving rogue traders out of this market.
The importance of FRACS-accredited fire risk assessments
The consequences of untrained and unknowledgeable fire risk assessors can be catastrophic. We avoid the commercial trap of linking assessments to the sale of fire protection equipment and signage.
The service we offer you
With over 100 qualified fire risk assessors across England and Wales, LABC is connected to the largest FRACS-accredited fire risk assessment team in the UK.
FRACS is the only third party UKAS-accredited certification scheme in the country that proves an individual fire risk assessors technical competence. Using a national model of assessment; it provides a powerful demonstration that a Responsible Person/Duty Holder has satisfied due diligence when appointing a fire risk assessor.
Our team has extensive experience of fire safety management in a whole range of building types including sheltered housing accommodation, office blocks, leisure centres, depots, libraries and high rise residential projects.
They understand building construction and fire strategy from design to construction; and can identify where the original fire protection has been breached by subsequent changes or poor maintenance; they also understand the limitations of existing buildings of different ages and how to achieve and maintain a reasonable and adequate level of safety in use.
We work for a large number of local authority property services teams in assessing and managing their portfolios including St Albans District Council, Hull City Council, Ashfield District Council and North Kesteven District Council.
